The 12th Takeda Science Foundation International Symposium Held

The 12th Takeda Science Foundation International Symposium was held on January 23–24, 2026, at the Congrès Convention Center, Osaka (with the Yoshiki Sasai Memorial Symposium co-hosted on January 22). The symposium was organized by Prof. Takanori Takebe (Cincinnati Children’s / Institute of Science Tokyo / The University of Osaka), Prof. Mitsuru Morimoto (RIKEN), and Prof. Toshiro Sato (Keio University), and was held under the theme “ORGANOID 4D: Development, Disease, Diversity and Discovery.”

From our laboratory, Dr. Mayumi Oda (Assistant Professor), Dr. Andreas Michael Sihombing (Project Assistant Professor), Ms.Yoshiko Hatano (Graduate Student), and Ms.  Yui Miyauchi (fifth-year medical student) presented posters.

Among 154 presentations, Dr. Andreas Michael Sihombing was selected for the Eureka Award, the symposium’s highest honor. In addition, Ms. Yui Miyauchi was selected as one of 12 recipients of the Awesome Award.
